    Pay
    • Ambassador I - $16.50 - $19.00 per hour DOQ
    • Ambassador II - $17.37 - $20.86 per hour DOQ

    Join the City of Ventura as a Parking Ambassador I/II ( Extra-Help ) and make a direct impact on our community! This role is ideal for individuals seeking to work part-time with flexible hours while contributing to our city's vibrant public spaces.

    As a Parking Ambassador I/II, you'll represent the City to residents and visitors alike. You'll assist patrons using our beaches and local public areas, ensuring a positive experience and providing exceptional customer service.

    What You’ll Do:
    • Greet and assist parking patrons by collecting fees and providing change.
    • Operate cash registers or computers to process payments and manage parking validations.
    • Maintain cleanliness by performing basic janitorial duties.
    • Ensure safety by enforcing City rules, observing parking equipment, and responding to emergency service requests as needed.
    • Collaborate with volunteers and support efforts by reporting potential issues to the Police Department.


    This position is a part-time, extra-help, temporary position and is paid on an hourly basis. Ambassadors work a rotational schedule, including weekends and holidays, and may be subject to call-back for emergencies and high-impact events in the area.

    A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to completion of high school and sufficient experience to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
