LEGAL ASSISTANT - TRANSPORTATION
DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE
Location - Truman Building. 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, Missouri
Salary: $37,799.76

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
This position provides administrative support for the Department’s administrative alcohol hearing process. The employee will be responsible for support of all steps of the process to prepare the hearing docket for the GCO attorneys and drivers requesting an administrative alcohol hearing. This position will also assist GCO attorneys in case preparation for other violations of driver licensing and motor vehicle statutes.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPPORT THE DEPARTMET’S VISION:
• Enter administrative alcohol hearing requests into DOR database
• Prepare and mail hearing packets
• Prepare dockets for staff attorneys
• Mail final hearing decisions
• Answer phone calls and emails from opposing counsel or drivers and from staff attorneys regarding hearing status.
• Identify incoming legal correspondence from courts and open legal files for attorneys when necessary
• Prepare and maintain legal case files for staff attorneys
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Detail oriented and have excellent organization skills
• Ability to multitask
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of basic office applications
