Financial Services Specialist Series

This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the Intermediate starting salary of $56,712.48, and a Senior starting salary of $61,249.44.

What you'll do:

• Creates financial documents for federally funded projects utilizing Microsoft Excel and state and federal financial management systems (FACS, FMIS, SAMII, etc.).
• Coordinates with federal agencies (Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Rail Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) to administer federal funds per federal requirements.
• Coordinates with MoDOT Divisions and Districts to deliver federally funded projects.
• Coordinates and creates documents for the Partnership programs, including Cost Share, Missouri Transportation Finance Corporation (MTFC) loan program and Statewide Transportation Assistance Revolving (STAR) loan program, to be presented to the applicable committees, boards and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
• Aids MoDOT Divisions and Districts in developing and administering agreements with local public agencies, specifically when sharing in project costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Planning, Public Administration, or related field,

OR

Four years of experience in positions related to multimodal transportation, federal or state grant program management, public or transportation administration, transportation planning, accounting, or financial analysis experience.

Special Working Conditions:

Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
