Job Location: This position will be located in Central office Roberts office building 1706 E Elm Street Jefferson City, MO 65109.

Normal work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, however a flexible schedule may be available.
What you will do: - Review Grant Applications
- Review Grant Financial Reporting
- Missouri Accountability Portal Reporting
- Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards
- Liaison for the Single Statewide Audit
- Oversee and provide guidance to grant coordinators, including generalized training and coaching and specific training for the Uniform Grants Guidance.
- Reports and tasks must be completed timely and accurately.
- Work on assigned tasks related to the new State of Missouri Accounting System.
- Provide ad hoc queries and reports on demand.
- Participate in cross-training within the Accounting Unit.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- All you need for success:To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

Principles of Accounting: Possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, standards, and practices.
•
Analytical Skills: Ability to investigate, interpret, and analyze data and exercise sound judgement in arriving at conclusions.
•
Communication: Express information effectively, using clear and convincing oral and written presentations; and respond appropriately.
•
Self-Management: Possess a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; and has the ability to stay organized.

Customer Service: Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers.

Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
•
Technical Skills: Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and the ability to interpret Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Qualifications (Equivalent to those typically gained by):
• Bachelor's degree;
AND 2-4 years of relevant experience
