POSITION EXPECTATIONSThe Security Dispatcher will maintain an efficient Control Center for the safety and security of all individuals on property. This position is responsible for the text and voice-based emergency notification announcements including evacuations and will be the liaison with Convention Services Managers (CSM) for show requirements, client and contractor needs, LVCVA partner and ambassador service calls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinates all emergency response to the LVCVA for crime, injuries, illnesses or catastrophic situations.
- Responds and dispatches all text and voice-based emergency notification announcements up to and including evacuations.
- Address show requirements, client needs, LVCVA partner and ambassador service requests.
- Administers and maintains all LVCVA ambassador and partner badges and access.
- Receives and screens a variety of phone calls and visitors.
- Prioritizes customer service in order of radio, telephone and in-person.
- Maintains lost and found property.
- Maintains multiple PC and software applications
- Multi-tasks and performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Type minimum 35 wpm (confirmed)
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to support and respect the various cultural and ethnic values, behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of a diverse workplace
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONSMust have a valid Nevada driver’s license at the time of appointment and maintain it during employment.
