The Department of Public Safety, Office for Victims of Crime (DPS-OVC) administers grants to support initiatives and activities to serve victims of violent crime. We’re looking for a person who shares these values to implement, administer, and monitor grants activities for DPS-OVC. The DPS-OVC program provides financial assistance to victim service providers, including law enforcement agencies, courts, prosecutors and non-profit agencies.

Job Description: - Interprets, explains and applies state and federal rules, regulations, and program guidelines
- Assists with the development and dissemination of program policies, procedures, and program guidelines.
- Prepares and presents program specific training sessions to grant applicants.
- Reviews grant applications and participates in the rating and eligibility determination process.
- Monitors and tracks the progress of grant projects by maintaining regular contact with program administrators and maintains progress logs, status reports, and compliance records.
- Conducts on-site and desk performance audits to evaluate progress of projects and reviews grant files and contractual documents.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Knowledge of program compliance review techniques
- Knowledge of public safety compliance programs and their objectives, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to plan and organize work activities to achieve program goals.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with related coursework or 3 years of related experience. Previous grant and/or accounting experience preferred. Relevant education and experience may substitute for deficiencies.
