The PositionContra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) has two (2) vacancies in the Information Systems Assistant II classification. These positions will work in CCHP’s Member Services Department located in Martinez, CA.
This position will receive job requests and route slips from various customers, read source documents and enter data in specific data fields, enter pertinent data into the computer system which includes medical, pharmacy, and insurance claims, run error reports, research all system errors and rejects and makes corrections to reports or data entered, and perform general clerical functions.
CCHP is a Medi-Cal managed care plan for Contra Costa County.

The eligible list for this recruitment may remain in effect for 6 months and may be used to fill vacancies in various departments as they arise.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: Possession of a high school diploma, GED proficiency or high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Eighteen months of general clerical or data entry experience which included the use of a personal computer or other computer equipment, OR, six months experience in the class of Information Systems Assistant I in Contra Costa County.
Selection Process Selection Process: Application Filing and Evaluation: Applicants will be required to complete a supplemental questionnaire at the time of application, applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process.
Online Multiple-Choice Test: Candidates invited to take the online skills assessment will need access to a computer and the Internet. Candidates will be evaluated on necessary knowledge and skills that may include, but are not limited to: clerical skills, mathematical ability, grammar and vocabulary, interpersonal skills, and customer service.
(Weighted 100%) Candidates are not permitted to retake the same assessment within a six (6) month period. If you apply for another recruitment that uses this exam and the test is scheduled within six (6) months of the date you took the test this time, you will not have the option to re-take the exam.
3. Final Selection Interviews: These will be scheduled by the department once the eligible list is established.

The Multiple Choice exam is tentatively scheduled to take place via computer (remotely): April 16th, 2025 through April 21st, 2025
Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an invitation to participate in the selection process.
