    Accounting Division - Payroll Section

    Accounting Clerk

    Transfer Opportunity

    GSD Accounting Division is seeking to fill one (1) Accounting Clerk position within its Payroll team. Under the direct supervision of a Payroll Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing daily payroll functions, including the following duties.

    DUTIES FOR THE POSITION:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Review and/or correct cost accounting data (work Order Number, Task, and Subtask) and ensure payroll record completeness using computer generated print out such as Payroll Reimbursement Worksheet, Payroll Special Messages, Paycheck Register, and Workday.
    • Perform timesheet integrations for three Divisions from E-time to Workday.
    • Prepare and perform payroll adjustments in Workday (correction notices, hiring hall basic wage increase, and FMS (carfare/mileage).
    • Review and verify payroll supporting documents, such as personnel record changes in Workday, notice of assignment, notices of separation, certificate of injury on duty (IDO) and jury duty.
    • Perform as liaison to Controller, Personnel Department, Workers Compensation Offices, and City Retirement System for the payroll section/Review and approve employee bonus rates in E-time/Calculate temporary bonuses and injury on duty rates.
    • Responsible for preparing requests for emergency checks, check cancellations, stop payment, release of stop payment, and reverse direct deposit.
    • Prepare payroll related reports as requested for management.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Candidates for this position must currently have the civil service job classification of Accounting Clerk.
