This role is responsible for leading a team of facility workers, ensuring that all venue spaces are clean, well-maintained, and prepared for events. The ideal candidate has experience in facility maintenance, event operations, and team leadership, with a strong focus on organization and attention to detail.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Exercising direct or indirect supervision of employees, operations, and activities, including coordinating staff training, assigning and reviewing work, participating in interviews and selection processes, making recommendations impacting pay, status, and disciplinary actions, evaluating performance independently or with a higher-level supervisor/manager, and approving time off
- Sweeping and wet mopping hard surface floors; dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment
- Taking proactive preventative measures for safety and repairs
- Washing windows and walls; emptying and cleaning trash receptacles; disposing of large trash collections as needed
- Cleaning restrooms and related facilities and maintaining restroom supplies
- Maintaining proper standards of cleanliness in assigned areas
- Operating and maintaining equipment used for assigned tasks
- Collecting and organizing recycling materials
- Responding promptly to customer needs
- Resolving customer service issues efficiently

What we're looking for:
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Proficiency in routine software and business applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend department and County rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Experience performing routine janitorial tasks
- Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions
- Willingness to learn and operate various types of equipment
- Capability to engage in physically demanding tasks required for janitorial duties, including operating equipment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of safe handling procedures for caustic, flammable, or hazardous materials
- Familiarity with current methods, materials, and equipment used for cleaning buildings, offices, and other facilities
- Basic computer skills for receiving and managing work assignments

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
