Job Location: Base location is dependent on the candidate selected.
The Children’s Division is seeking applications for the position of Staff Development Training Manager.
What you’ll do: - Coordinates or directs a comprehensive statewide staff training and development program for a state agency.
- Develops training curriculum and core competencies for session packages (develops PowerPoint presentations).
- Develops and updates Children’s Division (CD) training packages.
- Identifies statewide training and staff development problems by conducting needs assessments and consulting with staff, focus groups, community organizations, and service providers.
- Establishes priorities and objectives for the statewide operation of a staff training and development program.
All you need for success:QUALIFICATIONS:A High School Diploma or High School Equivalent and nine or more years of professional or technical experience in a business, governmental, or military setting, where the primary duties involved formal classroom training, training course design and development, and/or curriculum planning; professional teaching experience at the high school level or above; and/or educational administration involving responsibility for curriculum planning and the supervision of teaching staff. Including one or more years in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, or training capacity.
OR
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Education, Business or Public Administration, the social sciences, or a closely related field; and,
Five or more years of professional supervisory experience with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System.
OR
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Education, Business or Public Administration, the social sciences, or a closely related field; and,
Five or more years of professional or technical experience in a business, governmental, or military setting, where the primary duties involved formal classroom training, training course design and development, and/or curriculum planning; professional teaching experience at the high school level or above; and/or educational administration involving responsibility for curriculum planning and the supervision of teaching staff.
(A combination of earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the preferred fields such as social work, family and child development, special education, psychology, sociology, or related behavioral sciences and experience described may substitute for the stated qualifications. 30 credit hours are equivalent to 1 year of experience. Professional experience as described must be of a substantial period (over 50% of time)).
(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)
