BACKGROUND
The Los Angeles City Fire Department has a emergency appointment opportunity for two Personnel Records Supervisor positions. The two Personnel Records Supervisor positions will be assigned to the Department’s Equity and Human Resources Bureau / Human Resources Division / Personnel Services Section - Records Unit.
WORK SCHEDULE
The Fire Personnel Services Section offers 5/40, 9/80, 4/10 work schedules and has implemented a hybrid telecommuting program, which allows a minimum of two (2) in-office work days per week, and telecommuting on the remaining workdays. The hybrid telecommuting program is subject to change.

Emergency Appointment
An emergency appointment is not a regular appointment. It is a temporary appointment which does not require that you successfully compete in the Civil Service examination process. The appointment may not exceed one year and must be terminated immediately when a regular appointment can be made from an eligible list. No emergency appointment can exceed one year. (City Charter Section 1013).
