Full-time position available with the Public Works Department, Traffic Engineering Division, located at 414 E 12th St.
Salary Range: $7,268-$10,902/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.

Responsibilities
- Manages and Directs the leadership of the Mobility Group in the Public Works Department.
- Works on the Reconnecting Community Projects and Transportation Planning Programs.
- Pursues and manages grants.
- Represents Kansas City at the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
- Ensures staff have the necessary resources to meet goals and objectives.
- Recruits, hires, develops, and retains outstanding staff.
- Conducts performance evaluation for staff.
- Implements policies, purposes and goals of the City of Kansas City, MO.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in Planning and 4 years responsible professional experience in city, regional, or urban planning work; OR an accredited Bachelor's degree and 6ears of professional experience in city, regional, or urban planning work including 3 years at the level of the City's Planner.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
