    Housing Programs Specialist II

    Hourly Range: $34.44 - $46.15

    Bi-weekly: $2,755.20 - $3,692.00

    Opening Date: March 11, 2025

    Closing Date: March 19, 2025

    This position will serve as the primary contact for all applicants applying for housing assistance programs and the administration of rental assistance programs. The incumbent will perform technical and programmatic aspects, requiring the interpretation and application of regulations, policies, and procedures to determine the eligibility of program services, ensuring accurate processing of data, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    What our Team is looking for:

    Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include:
    • An associate degree with coursework in liberal arts, humanities, social work, business, public administration, or related fields.
    • Two (2) years of responsible experience providing direct client services including caseload management functions with an assisted housing or other social services program and customer service.
    • A bachelor’s degree is desirable.
    • Bilingual skills are desired, but not required.

    The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of professionals and will possess the following skills:
    • Detail Oriented - conduct certifications and re-certifications, tenant’s eligibility to move, reasonable rents, HAP contracts, and rent adjustments.
    • Team Orientated - performs a wide variety of routine to complex technical duties to support departmental operations such as client services, owner services, leasing, and continued eligibility.
    • Self-motivator - responds to inquiries from the public, provides information or referrals, online portal assistance, and other activities.
    • Driven and Energetic - ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

    In addition to public agencies, we partner with construction firms, architects and engineers, environmental engineers, appraisers, market analysts, and a variety of other partners to help develop our communities.
