    Essential Job Functions

    This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.

    This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion.
    • Plans, books, directs and supervises operations and programming of venue or assigned operational unit.

    • Encompasses all facets of the sales/booking process from initial tours, booking, managing accounts and executing wedding events. Coordinate and develop programming and/or events for a venue or assigned operation unit and develops event/programming calendars.

    • Develops and effectively administers operational budgets for events/programs. Prepares post event and financial summary evaluations. Monitors assigned revenue areas for performance.

    • Supervises staff and monitors work performance; realigns work and staffing assignments as needed. Provides input on hiring/disciplinary actions; administers policies and procedures.

    • Executes contracts, agreements, and completes purchase orders.

    • Initiates and maintains effective relationships with customers, guests, civic groups, vendors, and contractors as assigned. Interacts with various levels of employees, management, and city staff.

    • Regular and dependable attendance is required.

    • All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.


    Minimum Qualifications

    Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
    • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Parks and Recreation or related field.

    • Experience : Two (2) years minimum experience required in in special event/programming/venue operations, including supervisory experience.

    • Licenses : Valid Class C Driver's License required
