Position Overview:This Business Process Specialist position works within the Administrative Support Management unit of the Financial Services Department ( FSD ). This person will use strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and organizational skills to help implement best practices for the department that comply with City of Austin records and information management ( RIM ) and information privacy protection requirements.
Assigned responsibilities could include:
• optimizing and streamlining operational workflows;
• writing standard operating procedures;
• contributing to monthly and quarterly reports;
• developing and conducting training;
• providing records management and information privacy consultations to internal customers; and
• identifying departmental records management taxonomy issues and making recommendations for improvements.
