In this role, you will help the Transportation and Public Works Department ( TPW ) complete innovative continuous improvement projects that align to the mission, vision, values, and goals of the department.
As a Business Process Consultant, you will:
- Lead stakeholders and employees in implementing continuous improvement methodologies and overall best management practices.
- Prepare recommendations for the implementation of new or revised policies, procedures, and process changes.
- Foster a culture of innovation by participating in and leading various projects, improvement sessions, after action reviews, and other meetings that result in the development of recommendations and implementation plans that enhances overall performance and customer satisfaction.
- Support the department in achieving its re-accreditation with the American Public Works Association ( APWA ).
This position is part of the Office of Performance Management, a team of internal consultants that deliver strategy, innovation, and data analytics services in TPW .

- Experience designing, leading or co-leading, and facilitating effective meetings, workshops, or innovation design sessions involving diverse groups.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Leads multiple process improvement teams Develops project work plans, project management and periodic assessment Facilitates the development of stakeholder analysis and communication plans for process improvement teams Identifies, collects, and researches to complete data analysis Makes recommendations to project teams and recommends organizational change utilizing appropriate talent Advises process leaders and team leaders in defining/identifying key measurers and setting performance targets Develops and improves models and methodologies for the department Reviews and critiques the work of functional team staff Communicates project and program information to all levels of the organization
