Position DutiesSan José Mineta International Airport is hiring for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant position is responsible for overseeing a team of four employees in the accounts receivable group. The Senior Accountant manages the Airport’s billing and collection efforts in ground transportation, ground support services, airlines/general aviation, and concessions/rental cars. The Senior Accountant is the Airport’s main subject matter expert in the Airport’s billing and revenue management system, PROPworks, and coordinates testing and upgrades to the system. The position is responsible for ensuring the Airport’s billing accuracy and keeping the aging current. Other responsibilities include providing analytical and technical support for completion of the annual airport-wide revenue projections, the development of the Airport’s annual rates and charges, and contributing to the Airport’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). This position may perform other special projects and duties as directed and assigned. This position interacts with a wide range of positions at various levels and functions both internal and external to the Airport and supervises clerical and professional accounting staff.
The final candidate’s qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in this classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay, which is included in the range below.
The
Senior Accountant salary range is $114,463.44 - $139,448.40 annually.

Minimum QualificationsEducation Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, including at least 18 semester units in accounting subjects.
ExperienceFour (4) years of experience at the working level of a professional accountant.
