Job Location: This position will be located at 1000 E. 24th Street Kansas City, MO 64108.
Summary of this position:This is an administrative support position that works within set guidelines and under direct supervision to perform simple and repetitive clerical, printing, and mail related tasks including but not limited to basic filing, copying, opening, and sorting of documents, and data entry.
What you’ll do: JOB DUTIES • Check and respond to e-mails in a timely manner.
• Check and respond to phone calls in a timely manner.
• Accurately check and complete chart checks, thinning, and filing documents.
• Take necessary documents to the proper area in the hospital timely.
• Data entry for admissions, discharges, and transfers regarding bed assignments.
• Enter work orders for units and HIS.
• Maintain and analyze paper and electronic documents.
• Check and order supplies.
• Schedule appointments for units and follow up with consults.
• Contact staff that have deficient records.
• Complete all necessary trainings.
• Assist units as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:• Qualified applicant
must have at least one year of relevant clerical/office support experience.

Preferred Qualifications: KEY SKILLS Comprehensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment. Intermediate knowledge of computer information systems and software. Ability to perform on a monitor and keyboard. Comprehensive knowledge of math computations, grammar, composition, and spelling. Ability to apply and interpret agency policies and procedures. Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness. Ability to maintain clerical records and reports. Ability to prioritize work assignments. Ability to professionally communicate, interact, and provide guidance with the public and multiple disciplines. Ability to stand, walk, seat, and lift for a limited amount of time. Basic knowledge of Health Information Services.
