Performs technical, administrative, and supervisory work involving the maintenance operations of a treatment plant. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, electronic, and mechanical machinery and equipment. Responsible for the procurement and inventory control of all supplies, materials, and equipment, in addition to the cleanliness and upkeep of all buildings, fences, and grounds. Work is performed under the supervision of the Treatment Plant Manager. Performance is reviewed from an overall standpoint through conferences, evaluations of reports submitted, and results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma / G.E.D. and four (4) or more years of documented experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment, preferably in the area of pumps, engines, electric switch gear and electric motors, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Class B CDL desired. Valid Florida Driver's License and home phone or cell phone required.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Florida driver license required at time of employment.
- Required to carry City provided cell phone at all times.
- Must obtain security clearance and GOAA ID within 90 days of employment and maintain same.
- Must pass annual respirator physical
- No facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face piece:
- Employees must be clean shaven at the start of their assigned work shift

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
