    Job Summary

    Performs semi-skilled work in the operation of moderately complicated Landscape maintenance equipment to include a ZTR mower. An employee in this class is responsible for performing tasks of normal difficulty involving the safe operation and routine maintenance of assigned equipment. Tasks at times are performed under hazardous conditions and employees are expected to be particularly alert and careful. Under immediate supervision, employees are required to exercise some initiative and independent judgment in completing assigned tasks and work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion by observation and through results obtained.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Ability to read, write and follow instructions plus one (1) year experience in the operation of assigned equipment (ZTR Mowers) required; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. A valid Florida Driver's License is required.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
