In this position, as part of the Division of Senior and Disability Services leadership team, your work will directly contribute to the Division's mission of promoting and protecting the safety and well-being of seniors and individuals with disabilities by helping participants remain in the least restrictive environment. Specifically, this team is responsible for assessing and care plan building for individuals that are eligible under the Medicaid Home and Community Based Services program. You will have the ability to lead a team that is dedicated to authorizing services for some of the most vulnerable Missourians.
- The Bureau Chief of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Regional Operations supports five regions and consists of approximately 150 professionals based across the state. This position is responsible for leading operational excellence initiatives, monitoring quality assurance, performance reporting, team member growth and development, establishing standard operating procedures, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication for field operations across the state.
- Oversees the operations of the HCBS regional field operations and facilitates regular meetings statewide to ensure consistent application of policy and procedures.
- Collaborates with HCBS Section Leadership and subject matter experts to promote best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement to operations, service delivery and to identify areas of enhancement and consistency.
- Provides exemplary leadership by promoting a positive work culture, effective communication, and developing others by setting a positive example, coaching, modeling, and creating opportunities for professional growth. Enhances and develops retention and recruitment plans to be utilized across the state.

- Travels when necessary to participate in meetings, trainings, presentations, conferences, and other engagements
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree and 4 - 7 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed)
- Excellent project management, data analysis and time management skills
- Skill in managing highly complex project activities from inception to implementation, ability to manage staff resources
- Technical skills in working with various IT systems (experience with case management software is preferred)
- Knowledge of HCBS policy, regulation and statutes preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
