Hospital Security Supervisor I to oversee, coordinate, and evaluate the work of security staff. Additional duties include training, hiring, implementing disciplinary action, and completing work performance evaluations. Hospital Security Supervisors ensure implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensure proper staffing, and ensure subordinates function in a manner that promotes exemplary customer service, with an emphasis on safety of the employees, patients and visitors.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles),
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Shift Availability: ARMC is a 24 hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Indicate shift availability on the Supplemental Questionnaire; not indicating availability to work all shifts will result in removal from the recruitment process.
License: A valid
California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment. Employees are required to drive county vehicles.
Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Certification: The work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients and visitors. Successful completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training within 60 days of employment is required. The MAB certification must be maintained while employed.

Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet both the Registration and Experience as listed below:Registration: Must possess and maintain a current Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California.
-AND-Experience:- Option 1: Two (2) years of experience as a Security Guard of which one (1) year is in an acute care hospital.
-OR-- Option 2: Two (2) Years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity in a military or civilian law enforcement environment.
-AND-Availability: Must be available to work
ALL SHIFTS: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotating, Swing, and Holidays .
