    JOB SUMMARY
    The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating employee and management training programs to ensure compliance with license requirements, safety requirements and/or regulatory requirements. The Training Coordinator builds identified training plans for all employees, maintains training records, and tracks all employee training participation and progress using a Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Assists in budgeting tasks associated with training programs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Partners to understand the learning needs of various business groups and plans and coordinates solutions which encourage professional and personal development.
    • Gathers training requirements from internal stakeholders, prepares scope of work for training solicitation, assists in the selection of professional services and monitors vendor's contract adherence.
    • Coordinates vendor training events to include scheduling classes, reserving and coordinating setup of classrooms, notifying employees, and acting as the point of contact for vendors and participants.
    • Administers the payment of training providers and ensures vendor invoices are paid.
    • Conducts organization-wide training needs assessment and prepares reports for management's review.
    • Administers the Learning Management System to include entering training plans, entering and maintaining training records, administering the course evaluation process and providing technical assistance to employees.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    DECISION MAKING
    • This position receives limited supervision/guidance.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Organizational Development or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
    • Two years' experience in conducting employee development activities, project management and process improvement activities.
    • Proficient in word processing, database, presentation, graphics and publishing software, web browser, multimedia instructional software and hardware.
    • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.

    JOB DIMENSIONS
    • Contact with internal and external customers.
    • Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally; visual acuity, speech and hearing. Subject to standing and sitting for long periods of time. Frequently works in an office environment and performs occasional field visits.

    May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights and weekends.
