- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, or construction science, plus eight (8) years of experience in a field related to engineering, architecture, or construction management, including three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
OR - Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in any field, plus ten (10) years of experience in a field related to engineering, architecture, or construction management, including three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Licenses or Certifications: Must possess one of the following licenses or certifications or be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire date:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas
- Licensed Registered Architect (RA) in the state of Texas
- Project Management Professional ( PMP )

Travel: The Capital Delivery Services Department is comprised of multiple facilities located throughout Austin. If you are selected for this position, and meet

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Forecasts, develops, and monitors division budget in partnership with department executives, City management, the general public, and other stakeholders. Evaluates, develops, and revises division policies, procedures, and protocol to meet business needs and ensure operational effectiveness and performance. Investigates and responds to citizen inquiries and complaints, code violations, council members, and/or other City departments. Controls, audits, and revises division performance standards, measurements, and quality assurance activities. Prepares and reviews operational and financial summaries and/or reports for management review. Prepares yearly work plans for functional groups within assigned division. Monitors and ensures compliance with Federal, State, and City codes, ordinances, and regulations related to division activities. Monitors contracts and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Is responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director.
