Why you’ll love this position: This position serves as an Administrative Support Assistant for the Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) Unit within the Section for Health Standards and Licensure, a component of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Responsibilities include a variety of clerical, computer, travel, and email related tasks which is in support of the Section’s regulatory duties related to the TCD Program, which includes the designation of Stroke, ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), and Trauma Centers throughout the state. The position provides knowledge of the processes and procedures applicable to the TCD Unit. Skill in the operation of the computer and office equipment. Ability to organize work assignments, and the ability to provide guidance to other employees.
What you’ll do: - Represent the Division with exemplary customer service and professional etiquette.
- Manage day-to-day activities and special projects of the TCD Unit, recognizing work priorities, monitoring workflow and making adjustments in day-to-day activities for TCD Unit staff.
- Assist with preparation of travel and budgetary information requests in a timely manner.
- Composes, proofreads and distributes a variety of correspondence and documents internally and externally.
- Assists with the maintenance of the TCD Unit License Management System (LMS) and Public Portal software
- Provides assistance to the TCD System Administrator as necessary
- Supports team members with office operations.

Minimum Qualifications - The person who performs this role will have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a highly developed customer service mentality.
- Preferred candidates will have 1-3 years of healthcare experience and computer knowledge.
- This individual will need to exercise critical thinking skills and independence in decision-making based upon knowledge of agency operations, policies and procedures.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask as necessary
- Confidentiality in this position is required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (ASA)
- Ability to work independently
- Be innovative and show a great deal of initiative when interacting collaboratively with leadership, staff, and industry and stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of computer and virtual conferencing platforms (Microsoft Word and Excel)
