Job Summary Salary: Network Administrator I: $28.28-$36.06 Network Administrator II: $28.90-$38.29 Network Administrator III: $31.51-$41.75 Performs professional, administrative, and technical work related to designing, building, implementing, and maintaining the computer networks businesses and/organizations use. These networks may include the phone system, intranet, extranet, and more. Responsible for the maintenance of these essential systems which may include assessing performance, completing regular maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairing problems. Works in a team environment, as well as autonomously, to resolve problems efficiently and expeditiously while focusing on department goals and objectives to deliver timely and accurate information to the decision-makers and operational teams. Work is performed under general supervision of the Network Support Manager and is subject to periodic review and evaluation.
There are
two openings for a Network Administrator:
Position 63152Successful candidate should have a working knowledge of the following
- Cisco Unified Communication Manager (UCM) including user maintenance, telephone maintenance, Unified Reporter, SIP call paths and Cisco Emergency Responder
- Cisco Unity voice mail including user and Call Handler maintenance
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) including agent maintenance and call que maintenance
- Layer 2 networking including VLANs and spanning tree protocol (STP)
- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
- Layer 3 networking including EIGRP routing protocol and IP subnetting
Position 516468Successful candidate should have a working knowledge of the following
- Cisco security solutions including Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), Cisco Firewall Management Console (FMC), Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA) and Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
- Cisco identity management including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System (TACACS) and Radius
- Layer 2 Network design, implementation, troubleshooting and remediation of Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Virtual LANs (VLAN) and IEEE 802.1q trunking
- Layer 3 Network design, implementation, troubleshooting and remediation of Cisco Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), IP Subnetting and Fiber-Optic connectivity
- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
Minimum Qualifications:
Network Administrator I: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and one (1) year of technical IT experience, network management, and system administration experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. IP networking, routing, switching, and firewall management experience preferred.
Network Administrator II: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and three (3) years of technical IT experience, network management, and system administration experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. IP networking, routing, switching, and firewall management experience preferred.
Network Administrator III: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years of technical IT experience, network management, and system administration experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. IP networking, routing, switching, and firewall management experience required.
Additional Qualifications for Promotion:
Promotions are not to be considered an automatic function of longevity and are subject to the review and authorization of the Supervisor. The employee’s last performance review must have resulted in an overall rating of Meets standards or better with no factor rating of less than meets.
