This position will be located at Montauk State Park 345 County Road 6670, Salem, Missouri 65560. This will be a temporary, seasonal position, not to exceed a total of 1,000 hours. Schedule will be established at the beginning of the season. Schedule will include working Saturday and/or Sunday, and holidays. Typical work week will be 20 to 40 hours per week.
Duration of Assignment: March through September - Assist full-time staff with custodial work, such as cleaning shower houses and restrooms.
- Assist full-time staff with grounds maintenance work, such as string trimming, clearing woody debris, mulching, etc.
- Assist full-time staff with routine maintenance work, such as painting cabins, minor repairs,
- Assist full-time staff with stewardship activities, such as trail maintenance, invasive species control, restoring overgrown areas, etc.
- Work independently to complete routine tasks, such as picking up litter, clearing BBQ grills, cleaning picnic shelters, etc.
- Work independently to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of park fleet vehicles.
- Maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle and small equipment safely. Must have reliable transportation.

High school diploma, equivalent, or working toward one or the other.
