THE POSITION The Department of Technology & Innovation is seeking
two (2) interns to support the department.
The interns will a ssist the DSB team in building modern solutions with a focus on automating manual workloads. The incumbent may work across a series of different disciplines and work with any of the following technologies: ServiceNow, Office365, Esri, Salesforce, and more. Pertinent skillsets may include any of the following: Python, modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), C#, Git, Postgres SQL, SQL, and data management concepts (e.g. database views, ETL processes). These are temporary positions that will assist TID staff to build modern solutions to help automating workloads that are currently completed manually. This extra assistance will eventually help staff complete tasks in less time and more efficiently.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES- Data analysis and report preparation
- Project and vendor management
- Identifying opportunities for technological improvements
- Documenting requirements for solution providers
- Converting business needs into technology plans
- Device testing and troubleshooting
REQUIREMENTS TO FILE- Current enrollment in a graduate program with a focus/emphasis in Data Science, Information Science, Information Systems, Library and Information Science, Data Analytics, or Statistics or related field. OR
- Recently graduated within one (1) year of a graduate program in the relevant fields mentioned above.
- 6 months of related experience paid or volunteer.
