Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65109.

This position is located in the Financial Services Unit (FSU) in the Division of Cannabis Regulation. It is an exciting opportunity to become an essential member of a small, yet, energetic unit that is responsible for all fiscal aspects of the division. If you are a quick learner, who is flexible, has a positive attitude, can work independently and is looking for a position where you can utilize your financial experience and knowledge all while helping to make an impact in the lives of Missourians, look no further!- Engage in fiscal duties for the Division including accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, and contract management.
- Assist FSU with tasks related to processes to ensure that the unit is operating efficiently.
- Assist in coordinating data for reports and responses to public inquiries.
- Review, approve, and monitor expenditures along with available authority.
- Prepare expenditure tracking reports to assist with fund tracking.
- Develop, prepare and/or maintain other financial reporting.
- Assist with state fiscal year budget setups in the State financial system.
- Assist in the preparation of the Division’s annual budget process, including any new supplemental or new decision item requests.
- Serve as a liaison with Division's programs for contract and procurement related inquiries
- Assist in the review and analysis of fiscal notes for potential financial impact to the Division.
Minimum Qualifications:- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college is preferred; comparable years of professional experience or education may be substituted.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency working in Excel.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with SAMII and Missouri Buys is preferred
- Critical thinking and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong desire to be an expert resource to division staff and leadership.
