Position Description: Duties: - Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Greets and screens persons entering the Prosecutor’s Office; receives and screens incoming departmental phone calls (e.g., responds to routine inquiries, forwards calls to appropriate party, takes messages, etc.); receives, screens and forwards information submitted to department to appropriate individuals.
- Operates computer to produce a variety of material from rough draft, oral recording, and/or written or oral instruction; completes forms; prepares, maintains, and retrieves departmental records and documents.
- Receives, sorts, and screens mail and receives, screens, and verifies information submitted to department (e.g., forms, requests, reports, applications, petitions, etc.); uses information received to maintain and/or update records and files; forwards information to appropriate party according to established procedures.
- Maintains daily judges schedules on answering machine.
- Prepares occasional subpoenas, letters, motions, entries, pleadings, etc. on a limited/small basis, as needed and as time may permit as assistance to secretaries.
- Assists with other miscellaneous clerical tasks as required.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.
- Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training.

Job Prerequisites: Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED. Familiarity with court system preferred.
Notary public certification (may be obtained during first year of employment)
Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):Must be organized, dependable and works well with the public.
Compensation: Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, Commensurate with Experience
