    Wage (Temporary/Casual) Position

    4 Positions to be Filled

    The Proctor/Observer will proctor Pro Board examinations for national/international certification. The Proctor/Observer must maintain a secure test administration. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TEEX does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.

    The ESTI Certification Office will notify the Proctor/Observer of the availability of a testing session in proximity to the employee’s home base. Once an assignment is accepted and completed, the Proctor/Observer will submit their time to TEEX.

    This position reports to the Certification Manager.

    Required Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED.


    Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Experience in test administration.


    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and move up to 10 lbs. of testing materials.
    • Ability to support proctoring for examinations for up to 8-10 hours/day.
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
    • Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving and/or flying on commercial airlines.

    Equipment:
    • Standard office equipment: computer, keyboard, multifunctional printer, telephone.


    Notifications:
    • This position is security sensitive.
    • This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
    • This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TEEX regulations and procedures.
    • All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and Agency safety requirements.
    • Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving a personal or TEEX vehicle and/or flying on commercial airlines.
    • This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TEEX does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.
    • This position allows telecommuting per TEEX guidelines.


    Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

    Proctor Pro Board Exams - 85%
    • Arrive at testing sessions on time.
    • Greet students, instructors and verify identification.
    • Keep testing documents secure at all times.
    • Maintain a secure testing environment and materials that is free of distractions.
    • Administer exam and monitor candidates at all times during testing.
    • Efficiently monitor and pick up all testing documents then dismiss students as they complete exams.
    • Reconcile and ship all testing documents back to the ESTI Certification Office.
    • Follow all policies and procedures as provided by the ESTI Certification Office.


    Fiscal Responsibility - 5%
    • Prepare reports and travel claims and ensure that they are accurate and submitted in accordance with TEEX SAPs and state travel regulations.


    Other duties - 10%
    • Maintain student confidentiality.
    • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
    • Promote a positive working environment that is respectful of others and allows honest feedback with open communication.
    • Maintain professional and positive interactions when working with coworkers and customers.
    • Perform all assignments with a positive team approach.
    • Provide customer-friendly service to both internal and external TEEX/ESTI customers.
