Examples of DutiesIn this position you will: - Supervise and provide direct supervision to Swim Instructor employees. Assign teaching duties.
- Schedule swim lesson staff and ensure adequate coverage at all times, including teaching swim lessons in emergency situation.
- Oversee all swim lessons according to a prescribed curriculum. Evaluate program participants for swimming skill level.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding aquatic program.
- Communicate and enforce all recreational and pool policies and rules in a personable and reasonable manner.
- Maintain swim lesson records and statistics.
- Be knowledgeable of and perform first aid.
Typical QualificationNeed to have/be:- Must be able to pass the general life guarding requirement before being considered for employment.
- Candidates may be required to pass a background check and must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug screening.

Compensation: This is a seasonal position that may work up to 6 months depending on the workload and performance.
Hourly pay range is $16.54 to $17.37 per hour. Seasonal employees are entitled to earn paid time off and accrue a minimum of 1 hour of general leave for every 30 hours worked.
