    Overview

    This Community Justice Manager position is responsible for overseeing client programs and volunteers for the organization's residential initiatives. Additionally, this role serves as the PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Coordinator for CJA. This position supervises the Victim Witness Specialist staff, the CJA Training Coordinator, future lived experience/PEER staff positions, and will report directly to the Community Justice Alternatives Director.

    Standard weekday hours with the possibility of occasional evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Schedule and organize client programs and volunteers at CJA.
    • Connect with residential population to determine programming needs and requests.
    • Serve as PREA Coordinator, oversee PREA operations in the division and identify remedies for gaps in compliance standards.
    • Oversee the Training and Field Training Officer (FTO) Program at CJA and directly supervise the Training Coordinator and Administrative staff. Offer guidance and direction in the staff training curriculum and FTO Program at CJA.
    • Oversee the VRA program at CJA, directly supervising VWS Staff.
    • Oversee future lived experience/PEER staff positions and roles.
    • Develop and implement programs to benefit the client population at CJA.

    What we're looking for:
    • Knowledge of PREA, including standards, reporting requirements, and audit needs.
    • Knowledge of DCJ requirements for dosage hours, class and program requirements and evidence based programming for the residential population.
    • The ability to apply strategic, forward-thinking to develop programs by evaluating and seeking opportunities.
    • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, agencies and lived experience individuals.
    • The ability to supervise, mentor, and support employees in a productive and positive manner.


    Qualifications

    • Five (5) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
    • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, from an accredited college or university required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
    • Possession of CPR and First Aid certifications within six (6) months of hire required.
    • Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
