    This position may be filled at one of two levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the Senior starting salary of $41,685.12.

    Job Location: Sikeston, MO

    Why you’ll love this position: The human resources technician provides routine administrative and paraprofessional support in human resources related functions, including resolving routine issues and questions with a moderate degree of independence. Complex questions and nonstandard issues are referred to the appropriate personnel. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.

This opening is for one of our CAREER-LADDER positions which offers the opportunity for career advancement without having to participate in the competitive selection interview process.     • Ensures timely and accurate input of personnel transactions in computer system, such as new hires, promotions, transfers, retirements, resignations, and releases.
    • Maintains applications and employee files; researches employee files to document, record, and/or verify various human resources activities and transactions.
    • Tracks and schedules new employees for orientation and training; pre-employment screenings include CDL Clearinghouse compliance and fingerprinting; schedules drug tests and physical examinations for external hires and applicable internal promotions/demotions/transfers.
    • Ensures personnel records, new hire paperwork, EEO efforts and medical documentation is maintained and completed within State and Federal compliance.
    • Prepares reports to monitor activities and ensure compliance with required state and federal programs.
    • Gathers data to complete surveys and responds to inquiries related to employment activities, salary administration, and other human resources activities.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED/HiSET

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Two years of advanced (beyond entry-level) clerical experience in human resources or related positions.
