    Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    Educator Certification issues educator certificates to all educators who work in the state’s school systems, as well as assisting with the review of certificate-holders who are charged with misconduct.

    • Works as a certification call center representative responsible for answering calls and assisting with inquiries.
    • Opens and processes incoming educator certification mail.
    • Scans and files of all documentation received from educators.
    • Answers and directs certification telephone calls and correspondence to appropriate staff.
    • Collects, verifies, and enters data for issuance of educator certificates.
    • Answers e-mail inquiries from educators, school administrators, university/college staff, and others regarding certification requirements, content area specifications, rules, and regulations.
    • Assists in greeting office visitors, ascertains purpose of visits, furnishes general information, and takes and relays information.
    • Monitors the certification call center.
    • Assists school districts, universities/colleges, and individuals on the status of educators' certificates.
    • Assumes other duties as assigned.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Graduation from high school or High School Equivalency.
    • Three years of progressively responsible clerical and secretarial work.
