    Description:

    As the Data Support Analyst for the Assessor’s Office, you will perform various tasks involving technical support, data analysis, data entry, verification and administrative complex business process support. These tasks will focus on processes within our software application and utilizing excel, SQL, Power BI and SSRS for querying and reporting purposes. You will provide customer service and information to the public and other county departments as needed.

    Schedule: This full-time, standard position requires in-office support, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

    Please note the anticipated hiring range for this role is: $24.69 - $30.87 USD Hourly

    Total Base Pay Range: 24.69 - 30.87 - 37.04 USD Hourly
    Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    The Data Support Analyst:
    • Performs a variety of technical, administrative, and business process support such as performing troubleshooting and testing ofadministrative andassessment software. You will test upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and data fixes. You will also analyze, document and report issues, including functional business processes and data analysis, review, and entry for corrections.
    • Utilizes SQL, Power BI and SSRS to extract, analyze, and manipulate data for reporting, process improvement, and decision-making support.
    • Performs data entry for certain appraisal functions in the appraisal and reporting software. Includingassessmentadministration and data entry forstateassessedexempt value allocation andcertification ofvalue totax authorities. This includesvalue overrides and property classification changes, and data review for valuation and reporting purposes.
    • Reviews data entered by other departments for accuracy, taking necessary corrective measures to ensure compliance for external reporting,taxroll,notices,taxwarrant andabstract, including analyzing data as needed.
    • Performs training and shares knowledge and expertise with other team members.
    • Provides business process insights to support report creation as directed, ensuring tasks are completed by specified deadlines and in accordance with established regulations, goals and objectives.
    • Handles a variety of administrative and business process functions within assessment administration.
    • Responds to inquiries and assists customers in person, as well as through various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, and other written correspondence, ensuring prompt and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Attend training as required or as directed.
    • Provide assistance in handling ownership records, responding to inquiries, and offering administrative support as needed for mobile homes and manufactured homes.
    • Assists in administration of mobile home records processing.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or related certificate.
    • Three or more years of experience in technical, administrative support, or similar field.
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Basic knowledge of SQL for querying data and SSRS for reporting services.
    • Previous experience working in an Assessors office.
    • Familiar with Assessor statutes and assessments.
    • Previous experience working in an office space.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
    • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, data manipulation, Power BI, optimization. data analysis, and SSRS for reporting services.

    ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
    • May be required to complete the State of Colorado Division of Property Taxation's assessment administration class.
    • Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of criminal history, motor vehicle report, education verification, pre-employment physical and/or references.
    • Must have a valid driver's license; if you are from out of state, you must have a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date, and you must not have any major violations or DUI, DWI, DWAI convictions.
