We are currently looking for a full time
Agricultural Marketing Specialist/Senior Agricultural Marketing Specialist in the Ag Business Development Division, Missouri Grown program, to promote Missouri Grown activities statewide.
- Coordinate multiple grants within the program and assist with other farm to table efforts
- Engage in planning and implementation of various activities within the Missouri Grown program
- Assist with Missouri Grown membership and market activities
- Conduct Missouri Grown member visits across the state
- Assist with various education/outreach and communication efforts
- Assist with trade show booths at a variety of events throughout the year
- Work alongside the rest of the Missouri Grown team for the duration of the Missouri State Fair, including the days leading up to and following the Fair
- Some travel and overnights are required of this position with the majority being in-state, but some out-of-state travel is possible
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: - Four (4) or more years of professional or technically relevant experience in agriculture, education/outreach, business marketing or communications. Experience can come from a combination of direct work experience and/or completion of a relevant bachelor's or associates degree program.
- Must possess a valid MO Driver's License
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Able to take initiative; be self-motivated; work independently as well as in a team; work well under pressure; be a creative thinker; and a good problem solver.
- Ability to effectively communicate, especially as it relates to customer/member service.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new software and database programs.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of business and marketing.
- Ability to work well on a team and in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to organize and coordinate projects and meet deadlines.
