    Role

    The Development Services department is seeking a qualified Land Use Specialist to join our team!

    LAND USE SPECIALIST I

    OR

    LAND USE SPECIALIST II

    We are looking for a candidate with outstanding communication skills and a keen attention to detail. The ideal applicant will possess experience in property site inspections, zoning ordinances, and a solid understanding of land use regulations.

    We are accepting applications for either a Land Use Specialist I or Land Use Specialist II position, contingent upon the qualifications and skill sets of eligible applicants.

    Hiring range for Land Use Specialist I: $40,804.59 - $52,025.86 annually depending on qualifications
    Hiring range for Land Use Specialist II: $47,236.42 - $60,226.45 annually depending on qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    Land Use Specialist I Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:
    A minimum of one (1) year of experience in zoning activities or related field.

    Additional Requirements:

    Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

    Must obtain Level I certification from the Code Enforcement League of Arizona within six (6) months of hire.

    Land Use Specialist II Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:
    A minimum of two (2) years of experience in zoning activities or related field.

    Additional Requirements:

    Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

    Must obtain Level II Zoning Certification from the Code Enforcement League of Arizona within six (6) months of hire.
