Data Communications Installers* to join our team. Data Communications Installers will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of telecommunications, electronics, and network systems. The Telecommunication Services Division plays a key role in integrating VoIP, audio, security, automation, and low-voltage electronics.
Key responsibilities include installing and performing routine maintenance on data cables, connectors, jacks, terminating equipment, fiber optic terminations, fusion splicing, and main/intermediate distribution frames, as well as VoIP and electronic devices. Employees will also use electronic testing equipment, assist in the installation and removal of systems, and keep detailed records of equipment installed and decommissioned.

Click the link for additional details: Benefits by Occupation Unit - Technical & Inspection CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Working Conditions: Employees may be subject to 24-hour call back depending on assignment. May be asked to work during unusual hours, inclement weather, and other adverse circumstances. Duties may include working in confined spaces and climbing ladders to install, inspect, and maintain equipment.
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Minimum Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment. Qualifying experience must have been completed within the last five (5) years.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will currently work in the industry and have experience:
- Pulling and terminating all counts of fiber and copper cable and installing copper cable and fiber optics on a large scale.
- Be able to establish grounding systems, terminate fiber, relocate cable drops, and terminate RJ-45 modular connectors.
- Be able to interpret blue prints and floor plans; and ensure compliance.
Additionally, Fiber Optic Technician, Comp TIA Network+, or BICSI Certifications are a plus and should be listed on the supplemental questionnaire.
