  • Job Description

    Full-time position available with the Water Department, Pipeline Division, located at 2409 E. 18th St.
    Salary Range: $24.77-$37.16/hour
    Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
    Application Deadline Date: January 23, 2025


    Responsibilities

    • Plans and coordinates activities of workers in maintenance.
    • Assigns personnel to shifts to operate construction equipment to install and repair valves, hydrants, and pipe.
    • Determines action to be taken in the event of an emergency such as machines, equipment used to re-establish flow within the water distribution system.
    • Interviews and trains staff in their areas of responsibility.



    Qualifications

    REQUIRES high school graduation and 3 years experience of a progressively responsible nature in construction or maintenance work including 1 year leading the work of general laboring or maintenance crews. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City. Preference given to applicants with 3 years' experience making repairs to the water distribution system.
