    Apply today to join the Wake County Public Health team as a Patient Access Representative and do your part to help assure everyone in our community has access to the necessary healthcare services they need. The Patient Access Representative (PAR) provides customer service and clerical support for the clients and clinical staff in the Infectious Diseases Clinical Program. The front-line work you will be doing will allow the providers more time to provide better patient care. Those with medical office experience, experience and or knowledge of Ryan White grant requirements and experience working with underserved populations are encouraged to apply.

    Ways you will be assisting the clinic and community;
    • Provide administrative coverage at the front desk of the Infectious Diseases Clinic including monitoring the clinic appointment line to include scheduling appointments for clients from outside medical, hospital, correction systems and scheduling interpreters for clients that need them
    • Complete client registration, documentation and assisting with the required Ryan White eligibility paperwork and take payments from clients for clinical services

    NOTE: This position is included in the WCHHS Mandatory Flu Vaccination of WCHHS Public Health Staff policy (QUA.MGT.EMP Policy 400) that requires designated employees to obtain an influenza vaccination each year or to otherwise comply thru an approved exemption. This position is included in the WCHHS Mandatory participation in the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response.

    The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

    Emergency Service Worker Statement
