    NATURE OF WORK:

    Lead engaging tours through our stunning gardens, sharing insights on plant varieties, historical significance, and ecological importance. Provide an interactive and educational experience for visitors of all ages, fostering a deeper appreciation for nature and horticulture. Ensure a memorable and enjoyable visit by offering expert knowledge, answering questions, and facilitating an enriching exploration of our botanical treasures. Must be able to communicate effectively to educate and engage visitors and ensure the safety and enjoyment of the guests throughout the tour.
    Support the educational programs and initiatives of our organization by performing administrative tasks such as scheduling tours, organizing materials, and assisting with educational events. Work closely with teachers, instructors, and program coordinators to help manage operations and facilitate learning opportunities. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate are essential for this role.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must pass required background check. Training required.
    Have one (1) to two (2) years of Customer Service experience , tour guide or working with the public or equivalent and combination of related education.
    Ability to represent the Gardens with minimal supervision
    Ability to work flexible hours and greet all guests promptly at scheduled tour times
    Exceptional verbal and written presentation and communication skills
    Organizational and time-management skills

    THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
