What you’ll do: This position is for a Switchboard Operator working in the Main Hospital Switchboard and directly with the Communications Department. This position will back up the mailroom staff. Our ideal candidate must be able to work early mornings, day shift, evenings, weekends and holidays (if the holiday falls on the scheduled work day). This is a fulltime position. Primary hours of work are 11:30am-8:00pm with primary days off being Saturday and Sunday. This position may be asked to rotate shift and days off if needed.
Minimum Qualifications: - Must have valid Missouri Driver’s License.
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes/packages weighing 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of general office practices
- Ability to maintain clerical records and operate basic office equipment
- Ability to interact on the phone or in person with the public
Typical Qualifications (see below): 0-1 year of experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications: Six or more months of experience in office support work. (15 earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.)

- For supervisory positions it’s recommended to include: Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
