OverviewThe Natural Resources Land Stewardship Front Office Administrator provides a unique and rewarding temporary employment opportunity. Individuals will be the front-facing person in the Land Stewardship office by helping Larimer County landowners with their vegetation management projects. That will include selling herbicides, providing information on the Colorado Noxious Weed Act, and identifying plants. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge pertaining to native and non-native plants, loves to educate people about environmental issues, and has the initiative to work unsupervised.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is a lightly-benefitted position with a duration of up to 10 months.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Communicating with staff and the public through phone and email.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Educating the public on weed-related laws, procedures, and policies.
- Identifying plant species.
- Managing tasks such as processing weed complaints, cost-share applications, herbicide sales, and requests for site visits, seeding, and spraying services.
- Preparing and sending mailings.
- Maintaining accurate records and performing data entry into various databases.

What we're looking for:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong public relations and communication abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of plants.
- Experience with herbicides, including understanding labels and mixing instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet research.
- Strong ability to multitask effectively.

- One (1) year of experience in an office/retail/customer service environment required.
- Plant identification experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
