Salary Range: $5,173-$7,759/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework schedule available after 6-month probationary period completed

Responsibilities
- Provides development, support and maintenance for the Enterprise Permitting and Licensing (EP&L) system and Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Develops tools, scripts, maps, ArcSDE and web-based mapping applications, viewers, and other customizations or configurations as requested by customers.
- Develops interfaces to other systems that utilize GIS information, including addresses.
- Develops Intelligent Objects and Intelligent Automation Agent per user requirements/specification
- Develops SSRS Reports per user requirements/specifications.
- Works as primary component of the Enterprise Permitting and Licensing (EPL) support team that is responsible for maintaining users and creating/updating the EPL application.
- Performs technical support, configuration, and operational support for EPL, the City's Enterprise Permitting and Licensing System.
- Ensures that the enterprise GIS systems (ESRI software, enterprise ArcSDE database, custom tools, mapping sites, and applications) are running according to established service level agreements (SLA's).
- Works on call on a weekly rotational basis as the critical business process support contact by handling after business hours support calls.
- Completes user account adjustments.
- Assists with the maintenance of base GIS data layers.
- Provides GIS tools, access, support, and provides training to user departments in maintenance of specialized data layers.
- Ensures that metadata is maintained for all layers in the enterprise GIS database.
- Takes the lead on performing software updates, system maintenance, testing and training and maintaining a secure environment.
- Performs system testing and quality control checks of new updates and configurations.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of technology experience; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and technology experience.
Preference given to those with previous experience in any of the following areas: Permitting and Licensing Software, ArcGIS Online Software, GISP Certification, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reporting Software, Structured Query Language (SQL) for Management of Microsoft SQL Server Databases. The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
