Key Responsibilities:- Engage with employee relations matters, including employee complaints and grievances; conduct or coordinate investigations and implement performance management and discipline procedures
- Support labor relations matters, including union inquiries, meet and confer activities, policy and MOU interpretation, review, align and create policies
- Manage classification and compensation activities
- Oversee benefits and workers' compensation administration
- Participate in and manage promotional processes for public safety roles.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop HR analysts to achieve their professional best
- Design and execute strategies to enrich the employee experience for current and future City employees

Application/Selection Process: Applications will be screened carefully, and selected applicants will be invited to participate in the Structured Panel Interview. The Department: The Human Resources Department provides internal support to all operating departments and external support to all prospective candidates. Responsibilities include The Department is also responsible for the maintenance of personnel records for City's employees and the recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding of all new employees. The Department also manages employee training and development programs; administers the City's compensation, classification and employee benefits programs; oversees equal employment opportunity programs; ensures compliance with State and Federal employment mandates; manages employee leaves, provides guidance to staff, and coordinates employee safety and workers' compensation programs. The Department also administers the City's Risk Management program, which acquires and maintains insurance for the City, assists with contract reviews, and maintains tort claims presented against the City.
