This opportunity is with the Office of Administration Division of General Services - OA Document Solutions Office. At Document Solutions, team members are responsible for providing print and mail services to state agencies.
- Design and produce wide format graphics, including banners, signage, and posters.
- Operate and maintain wide format printers and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide creative solutions.
- Prepare and optimize files for print, ensuring color accuracy and resolution standards are met.
- Troubleshoot printing issues and implement quality control measures to maintain high production standards.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in wide format printing and graphic design.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections on printed materials at various stages of production, including pre-press, during printing, and post-production.
- Verify that print jobs meet customer specifications, including color accuracy, alignment, and finishing details.
- Document and report any defects or inconsistencies, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections and findings.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of quality control equipment.
- Processing plates
- Finalizing proof / production examples
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - Possession of a valid Missouri Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass background check and finger printing to meet IRS requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent: a degree in a related field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a printing or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with printing processes and materials is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of wide format printing
- Knowledge of cutting / bindery equipment
