This position will be located at 1659 E. Elm St. Jefferson City, Missouri. Work assignments are located over a large geographic area of Missouri that will require travel and overnight stays during the workweek.
- Work Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour days per week) 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Complete skilled work assignments in multiple building trades: Carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, masonry, roofing, drywall, heating and cooling and all phases of concrete work.
- Perform material estimating and make material purchases, as needed.
- Perform manual work requiring heavy lifting, reaching, and bending.
- Occasionally operate a compact loader and/or skid steer.
To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
- Must be able to travel and stay overnight during the work week, i.e. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.
- Compliance with random drug and alcohol testing required.
- Ability to understand and complete assignments received orally or by written orders from sketches, penciled layouts, or blueprints.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand/power tools.
- Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
- Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Four to six years of on-the-job training in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trades.
