The City is seeking an experienced police manager who has a proven track record of effectively managing and championing organizational change, understands the unique needs of staff in a smaller organization, and will support the Chief to create systems that will allow the team to be successful and fulfilled in their respective roles.
To qualify, you should possess 7-10 years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience, with 3 years of command experience at or above the rank of Lieutenant, and a BA in criminal justice or a related field. An advanced degree is desirable. The selected candidate must obtain the South Dakota Law Enforcement Certification within one year of hire.
The annual salary range: $118,411.32 - $133,971.53, depending on qualifications and experience. The City offers a generous benefit plan that includes 100% employer paid health insurance, paid leave, enrollment in the South Dakota Retirement System, and a City-issued take-home vehicle.
