What You'll Be DoingThe Medical Records Administrative Office Assistant provides administrative support to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office Medical Department.
Essential Functions:
- Performs scanning of paper health information into the electronic health record following established guidelines
- Prepares packets with copies of relevant medical documentation, emails and fax documentation and answers telephone calls
- After nurse triage create clinic orders in the electronic medical records
- Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Medical Department

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - High school diploma or GED
- One year of administrative/office support experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records
- Proficient in information management programs and MS Office
